Yes - just like any other PBS certified pharmacy, SimpleDose provide safety net pricing when a customer exceeds the Safety Net threshold each year.
The PBS Safety Net thresholds were updated on the 1st January, 2023. From the 1st January 2023, the thresholds have been adjusted to:
- $262.80 for concession card holders
- $1,563.50 for general patients
You only need to meet the threshold once in a calendar year. If you already met the threshold in the first half of the year, your medicines will still be discounted.
Before you meet the threshold, each box of medicine will cost:
- $7.30 per box for concession card holders
- $30.00 per box for general patients.
At SimpleDose, you simply pay a portion of this PBS co-contribution every 7 days. That is, your PBS co-contributions are calculated as the portion of each pack that you consume every 7 days. This amount is then charged to your nominated credit or debit card (visa, mastercard or american express). Or to your Paypal. We then ship your medication every 28 days, to reduce the cost of shipping.
