As an unregistered provider, SimpleDose supports NDIS participants by providing shipping at no cost, and waives the Small Order & Dispense Fee if applicable (5 or less medications, vitamins or supplements), providing the participant has an NDIS plan that covers this under the consumables line item.
- Once an NDIS participant signs up for the service, we get in touch with the participants plan manager. We then invoice the participant's plan manager directly for the consumables line item, so that we can be reimbursed for the cost of shipping ($9.95 per month)
- If applicable, we also invoice the plan manager for our small order & dispense fee, to cover our cost of DAA packaging (daily packets), if applicable.
- This means that the cost to the participant becomes just $7.30 per PBS medication (the PBS co-contribution), plus our competitive retail price for all OTC items (Vitamins, supplements, creams etc) if the participant wishes to add these.
We typically support NDIS participants who are plan managed. But if a participant is self-managed, we can also help them – we would simply invoice the participant directly instead of invoicing the plan manager.
And if the participant doesn’t already have a consumables line item in their plan, they can always talk to their NDIS planner about having it added for SimpleDose's dose-aid medication adherence system.
